It's been an eventful spring for us so far. Cody is in his first track season. He is doing high jump, long jump and the 400 meter run. Below Cody attempting a jump.
Jon in his senior year of track has his work cut out for him. He is running shorter distances this year and also running the hurdles. Some of you may remember that this is the event that took him to the Junior Olympic Nationals 4 years ago. Jon was very sick for about 3 weeks at the beginning of the season so he is playing catch up with his training. Jon is winding down his last year of high school with lots of school work, attending to his duties as senior class president and with his church activities he is one busy guy.
Below Jon on his way to a win in the 300 meter hurdles.
A week or so ago we had an awesome house full of family!
My grandma flew in from Oklahoma. Lorelei and I picked her up from the airport and the flight attendant was amazed that at 95 she was flying by herself. My dad drove up from California and arrived not too long after we got home from the airport.
Below, Cody picked some flowers for grandma.
My brother was also here from Arizona for a week and his stay overlapped with my dad and grandma by one day so we all got to spend a little time together. It's been 4 or 5 years since we have seen my brother and it's been 10 years since my dad, brother, grandma and I have been together!
What a great time!
One of the reasons for my dad's visit was, for he and I to work a trade show together to try and round up some manufacturing business. We drove to Seattle (Bellvue) and spent two days working the show. It was a fun few days spent with my dad.

Spring break for us was very low key, but Adam managed to come home for a day or so and we had a rousing game of badminton with all the boys.
Cody had a camp out a few weeks ago with his friends from church.
Below, the boys cooking dinner.
Other news, Lorelei is no longer working a long term sub job but she is working temp jobs 2 or 3 days a week. Everything around the place is leafing out and our allergies are starting to act up. It's a weekly chore to keep the grass to a manageable height and we are starting to think about what to put in the garden.
I guess that's about all for now!
