Below, the kids cooking dinner on the campfire.
Our great friends from New Mexico stopped by for a visit a couple of weeks ago.

Okay so there has been this tree that I keep saying needs to be cut down because it's in the way of another tree that I need to cut down that's shading the orchard. Well......so this tree in question is kinda leaning toward the orchard and I'm a bit nervous about cutting it, so I put it off.
So Lorelei and the boys have been telling me for the last 6 months that the tree is leaning more and more. I say.......naw it's fine.....while in my mind I'm trying to figure out how to cut it down without wiping out several trees in the orchard.
So.....a week or so ago I'm sitting at the computer early in the morning and Lorelei comes running out of the bedroom saying "the tree fell, the tree fell".
It fell just about perfectly, missing the horseshoe pit and clipping part of one of our apple trees, just as I had planned it!
This last week Lorelei and I headed to the southern Oregon Coast for a few days.We had a fun trip and drove about 650 miles total. We spent time at several ports and walked around, talked to some locals and ate LOTS of food!
In our back roads exploration we came across a street named after her mom so we had to get a picture.
Looking north at the Cape Blanco light house.
This is one of Lorelei's pictures, looking south.
