So here we go it's the end of March and I still haven't posted much. Life is hectic at the moment. Lot's of irons in the fire so not much extra time. Jon has been very sick and hasn't been running for a couple of weeks now. He will begin the track season without being in the best of shape.
Cody and Adam are doing well.
Lorelei and I got out for an afternoon of photography a couple of weeks ago. Here are a few we brought back.
Along the Willamette river

Below is one of Lorelei's shots. She always amazes me in that I will walk right past a scene such as the one below, but she will stop and take a shot and many times I see in her pictures what I just walked past.

Below, Cody and Queenine playing basketball (one of Queenies favorite games)

Track season begins this week. My brother is scheduled to arrive on Easter Sunday. My grandma and my dad arrive on the next Sunday. It will be a busy couple of weeks at the Pennington household!

So.....I know it's been a while and I hope to get back to more frequent postings. I am in the midst of changing jobs and my schedule has been thrown for a loop.

Jon finished up basketball and is now working hard getting ready for his final High School track season. His back is still giving him fits and he is thinking about concentrating on the shorter distances (since his back only seems to bother him on the longer events).

Cody has played chess since he was a little guy (just like his big brothers) but he has always just seemed to play for fun and was never really serious about it. In the past couple of months though that has all changed. Cody went to the district meet in January and was the top player for the Amity team. He signed up for a tournament last weekend where the top team in the county was playing. Now this entire team is going to the state championship meet this year. Well.....Cody beat all of them! Taking first place in his age group and tying for the best score of the meet. Cody did not lose a single game with 5 wins. Wow.....what a great showing.

Spring is springing here and the race to keep the weeds and grass in check will be beginning in earnest over the next month or so.

Adam is going to school and working nearly full time. We hope to see him over spring break for at least a day or so.

Lot's more to tell, but I wanted to get a quick update done.
